El Paso, also lovingly nicknamed "the  Sun City" sits in the western most tip of Texas. El Paso shares the border between the United States and Mexico with its sister city, Ciudad Juarez. Together these two metropolitan areas account for almost 3 million people. With excellent weather year round, many people migrate to El Paso in the winter or when they retire.

El Paso is a prime corridor for both raw and processed goods that are coming or going to factories in Mexico. Therefore the transportation industry in El Paso is very strong. El Paso is also home to Western Refining and Helen of Troy.

One other major force in the growth of El Paso has been the US Army installation, Fort Bliss. In the coming months, the population in El Paso is expected to grow about 70,000 individuals due to a realignment of military bases around the country.
